Clinical Examination

A qualified clinician should examine breasts once every year after age of 50 years. Between age of 40 and 50 clical examination may be done 2 yearly. In high risk woman, clical examination can be more frequent. Whenever woman finds abnormality, clinical examination is mandatory.

Note:

Self examination of breast, mammo-sonography and examination of breasts by doctor; all three methods of detection are complimentory. Each of these three may have false negative reports. When all three are done regularly over many years, the benefit of early diagnosis may be enjoyed by the woman.
